Laser diode PWM control and its consequences on optical characteristics

چکیده
This article deals with frequency PWM (pulse-width modulation) control methodology and experiments related to a deep characterization of InGaN (Indium gallium nitride) EELs (Edge Emitting Lasers) the influence drive current shape on power spectral characteristics. The aim is study wavelength tuning possibility near-threshold region behavior that usually not described in device datasheets. publication consists three main parts where different possible methods output are discussed. CW (continuous wave) characteristics displayed first part which describes LDUT (laser diode under test) more detailed manner than available following shows delayed rising edge enables control. third ultimately using rectangular shape.
